1. Go to Start and Computer and browse to the following location C:\windows\system32\drivers.
2. In driver folder locate the file named “idcphid.sys” and rename it to “idcphidold.sys”
3. Click on Start and type device manager in the search box and hit Enter. IT will open Device Manager.
4. Now select + sign near Human Interface Devices” in “Device Manager and uninstall the “IdeaCom HID Touch Screen (PS/2)” driver .
5. IT might ask you to restart the PC. Upon restart the PS/2 mouse and touchpad will work normally.
Note: Some of the Windows XP users are also known to experience this issue. So steps for Windows XP might be little different.
If you are not good at using keyboard then you need to arrange a USB mouse to perform the steps.
